![]() ![]() This problem is obviously VERY common for them to go to the expense and trouble of making a Youtube video on how to fix it yourself. Does this imply if I continue to argue she might. She said "I am sorry I cannot assist with refunding any costs AT THIS STAGE" (my capitals). She said that we were definitely obliged to pay. She said it was "certainly not a manufacturing defect" and was "a purely cosmetic part that can come off due to just normal wear and tear". There was a water leakage because I had not pushed back the detergent dispenser properly (rubbish). Tried to clean the cabinet or seal area and rubbed it too hard (I hadn't cleaned it recently at all). an unbalanced load (my husband and I were standing next to the machine which sounded normal when suddenly the seal burst through the door). I received a reply which said the problem was my fault because either I had 1. After it was fixed I wrote to Asko saying I wanted a refund for the technician. They said we shouldn't have to pay if it's a design fault. I shall never buy or recommend ASKO to anyone, and hope for ASKO's sake that I never change my sales' job to selling household appliances. The repairman appears to have been a backyarder contracted by ASKO, he having come without towels or proper tools, leaving the place with the floor and cabinetry still awash. I told him to stop work and rang ASKO's service manager, an extremely rude, arrogant woman called Varni to whom I related what had happened and that I was very unhappy. I told him to stop, to use a ring spanner as he was stripping the lock nut to which he replied that he didn't have one which very much surprised me. He told me that the lock nuts on ASKO machines were always difficult to undo, that often these were sealed in with Loctite. A short time later, I heard a loud banging coming from the kitchen, and on walking in, found him kneeling on our towels, vigorously banging a claw hammer onto a shifting spanner to undo the lock nut at the back of the drum. ![]() When he arrived, he requested some towels which I assumed were to absorb any leaking water, but was surprised a short time later to find the kitchen floor and adjacent cabinetry awash, with him having rolled the towels up under his knees. ![]()
